Where to Find Spartan Cores in Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite’s narrative is now accessible with the free-to-play multiplayer component. Its layout is significantly wider and more open than its predecessor, yet it retains the franchise’s meticulously crafted levels and corridors. As shown in the Halo Infinite campaign video, players can explore Zeta Halo at their leisure, either by completing main missions or partaking in side quests.
With additional room to explore, 343 Industries has included collectibles like Hidden Skulls, which yield unique modifiers when activated. Other elements in the world include audio logs that flesh out the game’s greater narrative, unlockable cosmetics, and high-value targets.
Halo Infinite also allows players more control over Master Chief, who has more customization options than before. To improve Master Chief’s skills, players must find hidden Spartan Cores. Here’s what players should know.
Spartan Cores
For the first time in a Halo game, players can upgrade Master Chief. Using minor RPG features, players can hunt for Spartan Cores throughout the narrative. The Upgrades section of the game’s menu shows the skills that may be unlocked to improve Master Chief’s adventure. Each ability will have a description and the number of Spartan Cores required to unlock it.
Spartan Cores Locations
Spartan Cores can be discovered in Lockdown, Connections, Graveyards, and Reformation. Others may appear during missions or as rewards for taking out optional Banished occupied fortifications on the map.
Players should first target Banished-controlled FOBs surrounding Zeta Halo. After liberation, the map will be modified with new features like Spartan Cores. They’re marked by small white arrows and can be found by zooming in on the map.
There are 45 Spartan Cores in total. Fortunately, the game provides a few ways to track them. 1st: The upper left corner of TacMap gives players important information about their current location. They’ll see the zone’s name, the quantity of valor to be gained, and the remaining collectibles. Because not every zone has Spartan Cores, players should check the map before each mission to see if they’re worth searching for.
To use Master Chief’s scanner, press down on the d-pad. When a Core is in range, the crate becomes orange. The flashing green UNSC hologram above the box indicates discovery. The crate will also blink and chime.
