Earlier this year, Drake released three albums on the same day: ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR. The three projects went on to occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 in that order.
Drake may have a tough public image, but a “goth baddie” streamer appeared to bring out a playful side of the rapper during his latest livestream.
In a moment from Drake’s Saturday, Aug. 8, Kick livestream that has since gone viral, content creator Lin Lamar, better known online as Pinkchyu, got the rapper to bark like a dog while they were filming his “20-v-1” dating show.
During the clip, Drake sits across from Pinkchyu, who is wearing an all-black outfit and choker. The YouTuber, who identifies herself online as a “goth girl,” asks the rapper, “Are you into roleplay?” while leaning over the table.
The Toronto hip-hop star responded by saying he was willing to try anything.
“You can look me dead in my eyes … if you say do it, I would,” Drake told her.
Pinkchyu then asked him, “Would you bark for me?”
Drake immediately began playfully yipping and growling like a dog, prompting Pinkchyu to respond, “Good boy.”
Pinkchyu later reshared the clip on X alongside a photo of herself posing with Drake. The rapper ultimately selected her as the winner of his dating show and reportedly promised to buy her mother a house as her prize.
“I’m the goth baddie,” Pinkchyu wrote while sharing the moment on X.
The encounter also appears to connect with something Drake has previously said about his ideal partner. During an appearance on Bobbi Althoff’s podcast in September last year, the rapper described his dream girl as a “goth baddie” who is “tatted all over” and has a large chest.
Drake’s dating show appearance comes shortly after his new collaboration with Karol G, “Ahí,” which was released Friday, Aug. 7, as part of the Latin superstar’s album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto.
On the song, Drake interpolates his own “MAID OF HONOUR” track while referencing Karol G. He raps, “I want a Latina, I want a Latina/I want a face just like Karolina/And I want a waist just like Karolina.”
