In a regular monthly payment schedule, the Social Security Administration (SSA) is releasing the third and final installment of Social Security payments for July 2026 on Wednesday, July 22.
If your birthday is from the 21st through the end of the month, then you’ll be getting your benefit this week.
Who Will Get Their Social Security Payment on July 22?
The SSA payment schedule says that Wednesday’s payment is for Social Security beneficiaries born between July 21 and July 31.
The July payment schedule is:
- July 8: Birthdays from the 1st to the 10th
- July 15: Birthdays from the 11th to the 20th
- July 22: Birthdays from the 21st to the 31st
Your benefits are based on another person’s work record, and the date of payment is based on that person’s birth date, not yours.

Different Payment Schedule for Some Beneficiaries
The majority of individuals who started receiving Social Security benefits before the 1st of May 1997 get their benefits on the 3rd day of the month.
Typically, beneficiaries who receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will also get their Social Security benefit checks every 3rd of the month, and their checks for SSI will arrive every first business day of the month.
These payments will be issued early on July 2, 2026, as July 3 is a federal holiday.

The average monthly benefit amounts, according to the Social Security Administration, are:
- Retired workers: $2,029.92
- Disability beneficiaries: $1,496.16
- Survivor beneficiaries: $1,631.39
