Swifties, it’s time to celebrate! Taylor Swift has just dropped 1989 (Taylor’s Version), and as a die-hard fan of the iconic pop sensation, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the exciting news.
You can immerse yourself in the magic of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) by streaming it below. Trust me, it’s a musical journey you won’t want to miss!
At the stroke of midnight this Friday, October 27, we were graced with the reimagined version of Taylor’s fifth studio album, 1989, released exactly nine years after its original 2014 debut.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Following the pattern of Taylor’s previous “Versions,” 1989 (Taylor’s Version) gifts us with a treasure trove of previously unreleased “Vault” tracks. These are songs penned by Taylor herself a while back, only to be left out of her album tracklists.
In this latest release, we get to enjoy “Vault” gems like “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” “Suburban Legends,” and “Slut!”
This revamped edition treats us to freshly recorded renditions of all 13 beloved original tracks and introduces three delightful bonus songs: “Wonderland,” “New Romantics,” and “You Are In Love.”
In the lead-up to this musical extravaganza, Taylor teased us with sneak peeks of the “Vault” songs, sharing handwritten lines of poetry on her Instagram Stories.
I, for one, was hanging on to every word, especially when she dropped lines like “I broke my own heart ’cause you were too polite to do it” on October 26.
The excitement all began when Taylor Swift announced the arrival of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) during one of her unforgettable Eras Tour performances in August. She later shared her enthusiasm with the world on social media, saying, “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind.”
The arrival of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) brings us even closer to the fulfillment of Taylor’s mission to re-record her back catalog. Just two more albums remain: her 2006 self-titled debut and the 2017 masterpiece, Reputation, which was her final release under the Big Machine Records label.
In recent times, we’ve been treated to re-recorded versions of Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), and this year’s July release, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
