The first big update for Pokemon Unite has arrived, bringing with it a slew of significant changes to the Nintendo Switch MOBA. Here’s everything in Unite’s Patch 1.1.1.3, from Charizard’s nerf to the release of Hoenn’s Gardevoir.
Despite the fact that Pokemon Unite only launched a week ago on July 21, TiMi Studios has already released its first major update. Gardevoir, a fan favorite from Ruby & Sapphire, is now available to players.
The Fairy-type is the latest ‘mon to join the Attacker class and is now accessible in the MOBA’s marketplace.
What’s included in Pokemon Unite’s 1.1.1.3 patch update?
Gardevoir Joins Pokemon UNITE
At 12:00 AM PST on July 28, 2021, Gardevoir was officially added to the game. The license for the Hoenn Pokemon may be purchased via the Unite Battle Committee Store.
The character may be purchased for 8,000 Aeos Coins or unlocked by trading in 480 Aeos Gems (approximately $7.99 to acquire premium-priced currency).
Charizard nerf with Muscle Band
After activating Charizard’s ability Seismic Slam, players who used the Held Item Muscle Band with Charizard were able to do an astounding amount of damage.
After the Unite Move is triggered, the Fire-basic type’s attack is enhanced, and when combined with the Held Item, Trainers were dealing considerable damage to foes.
This is no longer true, as TiMi Studios significantly nerfed Charizard’s Basic Attack increase when using Muscle Band in Patch 1.1.1.3.
The Kanto ‘mon’s damage has dropped from an insane 31k with everything maxed to 11.9k now.
New Holowear added to Zirco Trading
In addition, the 1.1.1.3 patch adds a new Holowear skin to Pokemon Unite. To commemorate Gardevoir’s arrival, TiMi Studios has created a cute ‘Fashionable Style’ attire that can be purchased at the Zirco Trading store.
The costume costs 350 Aeos Gems to acquire. The Fairy-alternate Type’s look, unlike the other skins in the MOBA, cannot be won with Holowear Tickets. If that changes in a future update, only time will tell.
That concludes the contents of the 1.1.1.3 update. Nothing too big, though we’re sure Charizard fans are disappointed by the lack of a Muscle Band Nerf.
While no date for the next patch has been set, we do know that Blastoise will be the second post-launch Pokemon to enter the battle. As a result, the upcoming patch may be delivered soon.
