Since 1996 picking your starter in Pokemon has come with an inner debate. Whether it’s about cuteness, type, or the gym road ahead, it’s never easy to decide. Things haven’t changed now that A Paldea Adventure has been released in Pokemon GO.
Pokemon debuted in 2016 as a mobile game with augmented reality that broke with the previous game dynamics of the Pokemon franchise. Its battle system has been evolving ever since, now offering gyms, raids, trainers battles (PvP) and team GO rocket battles, among other online gaming options.
Some gamers enjoy taking breaks between games and become entertained by chance, and with gonzo’s quest, you can relate your search for Pokemon with your slot hunt for the winner payline.
What is Pokémon GO Paldea version?
The possibility to choose between the starters of the ninth generation of Pokemon was introduced in the Season of Adventure Abound, special events with limited time that introduce new features and bonuses to Pokemon GO.
Unlike Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon GO has a different play-through. For example, the Pokemons’ attacks are Fast Moves and Charged Moves, the stats are measured in Attack (ATK), Defense (DEF) and Stamina (STA).
A New Triad: Fuecoco, Sprigatito and Quaxly
These starters made their first appearance in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Unlike other Pokemon games, Pokemon GO has its way of operating including types and movements that will help you to win.
This applies also in A Paladea Adventure, where the 9th-generation starters will adapt to the game’s dynamics, affecting the assessment and recommendations of which to choose.
Whichever starter you pick, you’ll have to follow a path and collect Pokemon and items to unblock the road ahead.
#0906 Sprigatito, the Grass Type
Sprigatito is known as a grass-cat pokemon which name is composed of spring and gatito, which means cat in Spanish. Its evolutions are Floragato and Meowscarada, becoming a grass-dark type in its final evolution.
Springatito grass attacks are very effective against water, rock and ground pokemon. But, as with any grass type, Springatito has weaknesses against many different types such as fire, flying, ice, poison and bug.
When Springatito evolves to Meowscarada, it gains advantages above psychic and ghost types due to its dark secondary type, but it becomes very susceptible to bug-type attacks. Springatito’stats are high in stamina (120) and attack (116) with less defense (99); Springatito starts with a moveset of grass and fairy attacks.
It is recommended to keep its grass-type fast moves and charged moves to have the Same Type of Attack Bonus (STAB) effect when attacking enemies, increasing damage on sunny days.
#0909 Fuecoco, the Fire Type
Fuecoco looks like a type of crocodile with a name that comes from the words “coco”, referring to this reptile, and “fuego”, which means fire in Spanish. Its evolutions are Crocalor and Skeledirge, which become a fire-ghost type of Pokemon.
Fuecoco has high stamina (167) and attack (112), with a lowered defense (96). Fuecoco’s fire attacks are the most effective against grass, ice, bug and steel pokemon which gives it a wide range of attack; but, as a fire type, it is weak against water, rock and ground pokemon.
When Fuecoco reaches its final evolution as Skeledirge, its secondary ghost type makes it stronger against psychic and ghost types too, but weaker against ghost and ground.
Fuecoco’s moveset has fire and dark types, but it’s best to keep the fire attacks fast moves and charged moves because they can be enhanced by the Same Type of Attack Bonus (STAB) effect that can grow stronger on sunny days.
#0912 Quaxly, the Water Type
Quaxly’s name comes from the ducks’ quack. It evolves to Quaxell and Quaquaval, a water-fighter type of Pokemon. Quaxly’s water move-set is the strongest against rock and ground types, but grass and electric attacks are its weaknesses.
Quaxly’s final evolution, Quaquaval, is a doble-type of water and fighting combination. This secondary type makes Quaquaval stronger against the normal, ice, dark and metal types too but weak against fairy, flying and physic types.
Quaxly has high stamina (146), a balanced attack (120) and a low defense (86). Quaxly can use water and flying attacks, but it is recommended to create a moveset of fast moves and charged moves with water attacks that can boost the Same Type of Attack Bonus (STAB) effect that becomes more powerful on rainy days.
Conclusion: Who’s That Pokemon?
According to hardcore gamers, the best starter in Pokemon GO, a Paldea Adventure is… Depends. If you are just going to complete the main adventure it doesn’t matter that much considering that every route is the same but with a different starter and missions changing according to their type.
For example, you’ll need to capture more of your starter-type Pokemons to advance in your path. However, in the trainers’ battles (PvP) many things matter to achieve the victory. For example, the final evolution, the base stats of your Pokemon, how to improve them, which moveset is the best, and what resistance your Pokemon has, among others.
This amount of information matters due to the highly competitive arena of online gaming. Many would say that Skelederige is the best one, while others prefer Quaqualava. Even though Meowscarada has major weaknesses because it is a grass-dark type, its high speed compensates a lot for many gamers.
Considering the starters’ stats, they tend to be well-balanced in the three of them with slight advantages regarding initial power: Fuecoco’s stamina is the highest, while Quaxly has the most powerful attack and Springatito has the best defense.
In the end, you will be the one who decides between Feucoco, Sprigatito, or Quaxly. Take your time to consider every characteristic or simply choose your favorite type, the one you always pick since you started your Pokemon GO journey.
Pokemon GO A Paldea Adventure will continue to showcase events and highlights in the Paldea region, attracting more and more gamers who continue to be charmed by the Pokemon series. Keep training your pokemon and creating different movesets until you find the way to become the best Pokemon trainer.
