Demon Lord Ghirahim is one of the most powerful enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. To win against him, you have to beat him thrice: in the Skyview Temple, Fire Sanctuary, and Sealed Grounds. Here’s our recommended strategy for every encounter and how to defeat Ghirahim.

The recommended strategy for phase one
As the fight begins, Ghirahim will follow you slowly and if you don’t have your sword drawn he will smack you. Keep in mind before the battle begins. Once you swing your sword towards him he will block it using his fingers so pull back as soon as you can.
While attacking the enemy left/right pull your sword back fast and quickly stab the other side and keep repeating it until the next phase.
The recommended strategy for phase two
In this phase, the enemy pretty much the same except he’s quick now! In order to defeat the enemy, keep an eye on the side he holds his sword and dodge in the opposite direction. Follow this strategy and attack in that short span of time to defeat him.

The recommended strategy for phase one
Follow the strategy from the last phase as the phase is going to be similar. The enemy shoots projectiles more often here. You will have to be faster while ripping your sword from his clutches.
The recommended strategy for phase two
Ghirahim will summon two swords after taking damage from the first phase and use it to slash the player. Avoid hitting his sword otherwise, Ghirahim will make a powerful counterattack against you.
So how to defeat him? You will have your moments when he teleports above and lunges down to attack, dodge it, and strike at him. Repeat till he is defeated.
How to beat Ghirahim at Sealed Grounds in Skyward Sword
The recommended strategy for phase one
All you need to do is knock him off onto the next platform and stab his chest twice while he’s laying on his back to enter the next phase of the game.
The recommended strategy for phase two.
Now. Ghirahim will attack with his Sword Beams, dodge or deflect the attack with your shield and sword. This will open a window for you to attack his chest so run over and attack quickly. Continue until to move to the next phase.
The recommended strategy for phase three
Now the enemy will summon a huge sword which will give devastating damage once it hits you. Make him block your attacks with his sword, this will break his weapon. Once it is broken, continue stabbing his chest like in previous phases to defeat him.
