Jason Blundell, Co-Founder of Deviation Games, Leaves the Company
Jason Blundell and Dave Anthony, formerly of Treyarch and of many Call of Duty titles, created the company now known as Deviation Games. Blundell’s departure was announced on Twitter by the studio, however the reason was not specified as of this posting.
While remaining in his role as CEO, Anthony will also oversee the addition of Louis Castle as the company’s new SVP of Development, as revealed by Deviation Games. Castle helped form Westwood Studios, widely known for developing the seminal strategy game series Command & Conquer.
Since last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment has had Deviation Games working on a top-secret AAA project, and PlayStation boss Hermen Hulst stopped by for an update as recently as last month, so this news comes as something of a shock.
