Welcome to our ‘Hearth and Home: Finding a Valheim Thunder Stone?’ Collecting the Thunder Stone is required to create a Valheim Obliterator. The Obliterator is a present from the Norse gods, like many indestructible things litter Valheim realms. Since Hearth & Home, we can finally zap our garbage and witness some cool lightning. Maybe we can keep some coal.
Discover the Valheim Obliterator as well as how to obtain one of the rare Thunder Stones.
Hearth and Home: What is the purpose of the Valheim Obliterator?
Although the name ‘Obliterator’ may have given it away, this risky process is used to damage objects. You might be wondering why someone would want to get away of goods, but if you have any tools, weapons, or armour that you don’t use, this is a really useful equipment.
You had to put these objects in a chest, toss them on the ground, or go to the effort of throwing them in the ocean before Hearth and Home. You don’t have to anymore, thanks to the Obliterator.
Hearth and Home: Where can you get a Thunder Stone?
A Thunder Stone can only be purchased from “Haldor the Trador”. Blue merchant dwarf inside the Black Forest Environment. However, since there is only one Haldor every Valheim globe, finding him can be difficult. Use the World Seed to rapidly find Haldor: p3k4p6xiXi. Trader icon on the minimap (it’s a long walk but you can’t miss him). Beware the adjacent Greydwarf nest.
Buy Haldor’s products. This same Thunder Stone is indeed the cheapest thing on the list at 50 Gold. If you don’t have enough coins, first explore some Crypts or Trolls. Go back to your main menu and select the World where you hope to create the Obliterator. When you have all the ingredients for the Obliterator formula, find an empty plot of land near your Forge. Make sure it isn’t too near to walls or even other items, as the Obliterator may damage them.
You must also level the ground. If it’s uneven or overgrown, just use Cultivator tool to level it. Press ‘E’ to unlock the Obliterator’s inventory and insert the things you want to destroy inside. To start the obliteration, lift the level just on right of the machine.
This attracts a lightning bolt, which obliterates the Obliterator’s inventory. After operating the machine, you may see the sentence – Thor has bestowed a present onto you. But don’t get excited; it only implies there’s coal within. Pull a lever again when you don’t want it.
