DBS spend-and-redeem promotion

DBS has rolled out a new targeted spending promotion for selected credit cards. Cardholders can redeem gifts including Apple AirPods, an iPad, or a Nintendo Switch 2 upon meeting a minimum spend. Based on the assigned spend goals and the retail value of the gifts, the rebate works out to around 10%— before even factoring in the usual credit card rewards.

The list of eligible cards has been updated to include POSB Everyday Card, DBS Live Fresh Card, DBS Altitude Card, DBS Esso Card, DBS Live Fresh Student Card, SAFRA Credit Card, DBS Takashimaya Cards, DBS Vantage Card, DBS Woman’s Card (including Woman’s World Card), and DBS yuu Cards.

Promotion period and gifts

From 22 September to 31 October 2025, DBS cardholders can qualify for one of the following gifts by meeting their spend goals across eligible cards. Each customer is entitled to a maximum of one gift only. Registration is not required.

SpendGift
S$2,000Apple AirPods 4
S$5,000Apple iPad (A16) 11 Wi-Fi 128GB
S$8,000Nintendo Switch 2

Transactions must be charged by 31 October 2025 and posted by 11 November 2025. The spend tracker updates within three working days after qualifying spend is posted.

A push notification will be sent within 60 days after the promotion period (by 30 December 2025) with steps to redeem your gift.

Qualifying spend rules

Qualifying spend includes online and offline retail transactions, excluding those on the general exclusions list such as:

  • Amaze
  • Charitable donations
  • Education
  • Government services
  • Insurance premiums
  • Prepaid account top-ups (e.g. GrabPay, YouTrip)
  • Utilities

Qualifying spend is cumulative across all eligible DBS/POSB cards, and supplementary cardholders’ spending will accrue to principal cardholders.

Eligible DBS and POSB cards

The offer applies to a select group of cashback cards, now expanded with additional options.

CardMin. IncomeEarn Rate
POSB Everyday CardS$30KUp to 10% cashback for dining, MYR spend and SimplyGo

Other cards like DBS Altitude or DBS Woman’s World Card are eligible for a separate S$100 cashback offer running till 31 October 2025.

Rebate value of gifts

Based on retail price of each gift, the effective rebate is around 10% before factoring in the usual rewards rate.

SpendGift (Value)Rebate
S$2,000Apple AirPods 4 (S$199)~10%
S$5,000Apple iPad (A16) 11 Wi-Fi 128GB (S$499)~10%
S$8,000Nintendo Switch 2 (S$719)~9%

Actual rebate may be lower once factoring in opportunity cost, or if the same item is available elsewhere for less.

DBS has launched a new spend-and-redeem promotion offering gifts like Apple AirPods, iPads and the Nintendo Switch 2. The gifts can represent up to a 10% rebate on spend. A high spend target is required for the Nintendo Switch 2, and cardholders should weigh the opportunity cost of using other cards. Even so, this promotion may be attractive enough for some to participate
