When Will Overwatch 2 Be Available to play?
Overwatch 2, the follow-up to Blizzard’s critically acclaimed hero shooter, will be available soon. You will find all the information you need about the release of Overwatch 2 below.
Blizzard has been teasing Overwatch 2 for a while now, and fans of shooters who are eager to dive into Blizzard’s future hero shooter will be able to do so sooner rather than later. On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 3 p.m. ET, the public release of Overwatch 2 will begin (noon PT).
With less than a week to go, Overwatch’s eagerly awaited sequel will finally be available, bringing with it brand new game types and locations. The original Overwatch servers will be shut down on October 2, at noon ET, so those anticipating the October 3 debut of Overwatch 2 will want to be prepared (9 a.m. PT).
Players will have to wait about 27 hours until they can return to the hero shooter realm, but Overwatch 2 promises a plethora of new game types, heroes, and maps. Blizzard’s goals for Overwatch 2 include expanding the game’s already-famous universe and bolstering the series’ already-thriving competitive scene.
Overwatch, in its initial form, was a cornerstone of Blizzard’s competitive drive. Fans can indulge their competitive side in the sequel’s many player-versus-player modes when it launches in October.
This does not even factor in the other events, such as the Lunar New Year celebration and Overwatch’s yearly Halloween event, that will be returning with Overwatch 2. During these times, players can often find new cosmetic items and skins for their heroes to use in battle.
