In The Ascent, you can’t merely click on the map and be transported. This isn’t to say the game doesn’t have a rapid travel system. You will discover how the rapid travel system works and how to utilize it on this page of the guide. We demonstrate how to take the subway and a taxi.
How to fast travel
To take the metro or subway, look for “M” marks on the map. Subways can be found in various locations throughout the game world. Wait for the impending train at a location like this.
Press the interact button when the train arrives. This will bring up a window where you may choose the station you want to visit. The hero will arrive after a brief cut-scene from inside the train. It’s worth noting that taking the metro is completely free.

The second option for getting about quickly is to take a cab. The taxi can be used anywhere on the map (unless there are adversaries around), but it costs 1000 credits every trip. Furthermore, you can only travel to places you’ve already visited.
