Stellantis workers represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) will receive profit-sharing checks of $3,780 this year, a sharp decline from last year’s $13,860.
The announcement came Wednesday, following the company’s report of $5.8 billion in net profit for 2024 but a $133 million net loss in the second half of the year.
Challenges in 2024
The automaker, currently in search of a new CEO after Carlos Tavares stepped down late last year, faced difficulties including sluggish sales and rising inventories.
Comparison with Ford and GM
Among Detroit’s major automakers, Stellantis’ payout is the lowest:
- Ford workers are set to receive $10,208.
- General Motors will pay $14,500.
Eligibility and Payment Date
Stellantis estimates that around 38,800 employees qualify for profit-sharing. The final amount depends on hours worked, meaning individual payments may vary. Checks will be issued on March 7.
The payout is based on North American financial results and follows the company’s 2023 contract with the UAW.
