Splatoon 3: How to Get Tricolor Battles
There will be a Pokemon-themed Splatfest this weekend, and everyone will be there to try out the game’s hottest new feature: Tricolor Battles. The Tricolor Battles are the game-changing addition to Splatoon 3, but players will seldom encounter them. So, we’ve compiled some advice on how to unlock Tricolor Battles in Splatoon 3 for this Splatfest.
One important point to keep in mind is that Tricolor Battles won’t be available until the second half of the Splatoon 3 Splatfest. The Tricolor Battles occur halfway through the Splatfest, and the early results show which team is in the lead. In Tricolor Battles, the team in the lead will defend their territory from the other two teams.
How to Increase Tricolor Battle Numbers
It’s been announced that Tricolor Battles will be available once the second half of Splatfest begins. Even if players select Tricolor Battle from the lobby, they are more likely to be placed in a regular Turf War due to a decrease in the frequency of Tricolor Battles following the Splatfest World Premiere.
The likelihood of a Tricolor Battle occurring is lowest for players on the two attacking sides and highest for players on the defending squad. The reason for this is that Tricolor Battles involve two attackers per team and four defenders each squad.
If you’re an attacker looking to get a Tricolor Battle, teaming up with a friend is your best bet. Because there are only two of them, one half of the attackers have a partner already. It’s not worth it to go into a lobby with an attacking squad of three or four people if you know they can’t enter a Tricolor Battle. Each assaulting team can only have a maximum of two members, therefore lobbies with more than three or four players will be unable to play Tricolor Battles.
Since the lobby system always finds matches of four players, the defending team will have a higher chance of facing Tricolor Battles. After the first half of the Splatfest, the defending team will have amassed the most points.
Players can earn unique badges for their winning defence or offence in Tricolor Battles. One victory in each role earns you the bronze badge, and ten victories get you the gold badge. When playing online, players can change their Splash Tags and Banners with these badges to show off their accomplishments.
