Job Description
Gantrex Crane Rails Installation LLC is looking for a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer to manage and oversee project installations for ground tracks, overhead tracks, and port cranes. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in supervising the site, ensuring compliance with structural requirements, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee site installations and manage ongoing projects with the assigned team.
- Administer and supervise installation staff, ensuring the correct setup of equipment and machinery.
- Understand and apply tolerance requirements, structural calculations, and technical specifications related to port cranes, ground, and overhead tracks.
- Coordinate with clients to align mobilization dates, installation schedules, and project timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to confirm adherence to design plans and specifications.
- Review and approve structural design drawings and calculations.
- Monitor construction progress and report updates to the Service and Project Manager.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to resolve any site-related issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and schedules.
- Organize materials, ensuring safe and clean work environments.
- Provide cost estimates, ensuring the availability of required materials and tools.
- Offer technical guidance and suggestions for project improvements.
- Authorize technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Develop structural models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
- Deliver pre-start briefings and toolbox talks to site employees.
- Track work progress across all running projects and communicate with Project Managers.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards at the construction site.
- Monitor and document additional work performed for variation order claims.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in mechanical structures and construction, particularly with overhead cranes, port cranes, and steel structures.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with the steel construction market and technical aspects of crane track installations.
- Strong command of English; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).
- Competency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks, STAAD, REVIT, or equivalent structural design software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience managing projects related to mechanical structural construction, steel, port cranes, or railway industry.
