Selena Gomez is all smiles as her boyfriend, music producer and cookbook author Benny Blanco, makes the list for PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive.
On Monday, Nov. 11, the Only Murders in the Building star, 32, took to Instagram to show off her support, sharing a photo from Blanco’s recent PEOPLE spread along with a heartfelt—and playful—message.
“Not only do you love me unconditionally… You always get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a shot of Blanco, 36, posing on a dinner table, showing off his own version of the fast-food favourite.
In another Story post, Gomez shared a quote that captured her feelings for her boyfriend. “I still haven’t figured out how to sit across from you, and not be madly in love with everything you do,” she wrote, tagging Blanco.
During his PEOPLE interview, Blanco revealed he went above and beyond to recreate Gomez’s favourite Taco Bell meat from scratch. “I’ve practiced a lot, and I think it’s pretty indistinguishable now if you put them side by side,” he explained. “It’s disgusting, but it’s delicious.”
Blanco also shared some cooking advice for couples: “Even if you’re terrible at cooking, [your partner will] like it because you did it. Ask them what they want. If you don’t know how to make it, learn it,” he said. Then, with his usual humour, he added, “Or just get it from Postmates and pretend you cooked it. No, lying is bad! We never lie. Especially if you’re a guy—we’re disgusting. No one should even look at us. Try to be chivalrous. Tell her how pretty she is. Chivalry’s not dead.”
The couple, who began dating in 2023, are as close as ever. Blanco described Gomez as his “best friend,” and shared his favourite time with her is in the early mornings. “We both wake up really early. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
The official reveal for PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive is set for Tuesday, Nov. 12.
