Apex Legends’s newest legend, Horizon, is no surprise — but seeing her in action is new. Respawn Entertainment on Monday confirmed that Horizon is on the way for Season 7, and provided the first look at her gameplay.
Meet Horizon, a brilliant astrophysicist who escaped a black hole and aims to use her newfound mastery of gravity to keep a promise.

Horizon first showed up in-game in mid-October, as a quest-giver in the firing range. From there she got a series of not-so-coy teases, so it feels like players are already familiar with her background, her capabilities, and her lilting Scottish brogue.
Horizon’s abilities involve the manipulation of gravity. She has a Gravity Lift, which can get rid of foes as well as help friends (and her) reach higher ground. Her passive attribute is called Spacewalk, which allows her to float through the air with greater movement and control.
Her ultimate is called Black Hole; Horizon deploys Newt, her robot companion, to create a mini-singularity that traps surrounding players and prevents their escape.
Apex Legends Season 7 begins Nov. 4 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
