Season Start and Theme
Pokémon GO’s next season, “Delightful Days,” runs from June 3, 2025 (10:00 a.m. local time) through September 2, 2025. This GO Fest–themed season centers around the Pokémon GO Fest 2025 events and debuts the Crowned forms of Zacian and Zamazenta. In addition to these legendaries, the season introduces new Pokémon from the Galar, Paldea, and Hisui regions, along with added Dynamax/Gigantamax species and shiny variants. Trainers should prepare for a celebration of summer adventures, with GO Fest at its core.
Seasonal Bonuses
During Delightful Days, several season-long bonuses will help Trainers progress:
- Extra Special Trade: One additional Special Trade slot per day.
- XP Boost: Increased XP for the first catch of each day.
- Longer Incense: Daily Adventure Incense lasts twice as long.
- Daily Free Incubator: Monthly Eggs-pedition Access tickets return, and Trainers receive a free Incubator on their first PokéStop or Gym photo disc spin each day.
These bonuses are confirmed by Niantic and community guides, so Trainers can plan to take advantage of each perk as soon as the season starts.
Wild Encounters and Raids
As the season changes, Delightful Days rotates the wild spawns by location and hemisphere. In cities, expect Pokémon like Pidgeot and Alolan Meowth; in forests, look for Galarian Ponyta and Ampharos; mountains will bring Nosepass and Aggron; beaches/water areas will yield Gyarados, Mantine, Bruxish, and more. Hemisphere-exclusive spawns include Northern-only Pokémon such as Hisuian Voltorb and Summer-form Deerling, while Southern areas will see Hisuian Qwilfish and Winter-form Deerling.
New raid bosses are also arriving. In June, Gigantamax Rillaboom, Gigantamax Cinderace, and Gigantamax Inteleon debut in five-star Raids. Additionally, Dynamax Latios, Dynamax Latias, Dynamax Hatenna, and other Dynamax Pokémon will appear in Max Raid Battles throughout the season. Trainers should prepare their teams for these powerful new threats.
Upcoming Events
Several major events are on the calendar for Delightful Days:
- Pokémon GO Fest 2025 – Global (June 28–29, 2025): A free worldwide event. All Trainers can participate, and optional tickets grant extra bonuses and Special Research – including an encounter with Volcanion.
- Pokémon GO Fest 2025 – In-Person (Summer 2025): Three live festivals will take place in Osaka (May 29–June 1), Jersey City (June 6–8), and Paris (June 13–15). Each event features unique activities and spawns.
- Community Days: Dates are set for June 21, July 5–6 (Classic two-day), July 20, and August 30. Each Community Day highlights a featured Pokémon (to be announced) with boosted spawns and bonuses.
- Special Event Days: Niantic also scheduled themed events throughout July and August, including multiple Raid Days, Max Battle Days/Weekends, Research Day, Hatch Day, and Shadow Raid Weekend (see official schedule).
Trainers should keep an eye on in-game notifications for full details, but the confirmed dates ensure there’s always something happening during Delightful Days.
Returning Features
Several familiar features and mechanics return (or continue) this season. Eggs-pedition Access is back: monthly ticketed bonus tracks with Timed Research, now including the guaranteed daily free Incubator. The GO Pass progression track (and its Deluxe version) is also available again, offering rewards for completing passes of the field or special research. Trainers can use the new RSVP Planner to coordinate Raid Battles with friends and communities. Niantic also notes that themed stickers and weekly PokéStop Showcases will continue to appear during the season.
With these confirmed details, Trainers have a comprehensive preview of Delightful Days Season. Prepare your teams, stock up on Poké Balls and Berries, and enjoy the summer celebrations in Pokémon GO!
