Pokémon GO players who were impacted by raid-related technical issues during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global will get another opportunity to take on some of the game’s biggest Raid Bosses. Developer Scopely has confirmed a special Raid Make-Up Event scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026, bringing back popular encounters, including the highly anticipated Mega Mewtwo Y Super Mega Raid.
The compensation event comes after many Trainers experienced problems joining raids during GO Fest 2026. To reduce server strain during the original event, Team GO Rocket was temporarily disabled. With the issues now resolved, Team GO Rocket has returned to the game alongside this dedicated make-up event.

Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Raid Make-Up Event Date and Time
The event will run on:
- Date: Sunday, July 26, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Local Time)
The rollout will occur across time zones from UTC+14 through UTC+0, allowing Trainers worldwide to participate.
Event Bonuses
Players can take advantage of several special bonuses throughout the event:
- No Remote Raid limit from July 25 at 1:00 PM PDT until July 26 at 12:00 PM PDT
- Up to nine free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Increased effectiveness of Premier Balls when catching Raid Pokémon
- Pokémon from Five-Star Raids and Mega Raids may feature a Special Background
- Mewtwo obtained from Super Mega Raids can also have a Special Background, with an enhanced visual effect after Mega Evolution
- Link Charge cap increased to 2,000
Players who purchased the Road of Legends Deluxe Pass will also receive additional rewards:
- 5,000 bonus XP from completed raids
- Three extra Candy for completing five-star and higher raids
- One additional Candy XL from five-star and higher raids
Mega Mewtwo Y Returns
The biggest attraction during the event is the return of Mega Mewtwo Y through Super Mega Raids.
Players can encounter Mewtwo with the following CP ranges:
- 2,294–2,387 CP (without weather boost)
- 2,868–2,984 CP (Windy weather boost)
Collectors also have a chance to obtain a Mewtwo with a Special Background, making it one of the event’s most sought-after rewards.
