Grass-type Pokemon are highly useful in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, perhaps more so than in any prior generation. They have the upper hand in several of the game’s most important bouts, notably the one with Roark at Sinnoh’s first gym. Many players choose Turtwig as their starter Pokemon, for this reason, however, those who prefer Chimchar or Piplup can find plenty of other wonderful grass-types in the games.
Though most grass-type Pokemon in the series evolve simply leveling up, a select few require the use of a unique Evolution Stone. In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, the Leaf Stone may be utilized to evolve four different Pokemon, three of which have been around since the days of Red & Blue. Given that a handful of them are among the greatest grass types in the gen 4 remakes, gamers will want to get their hands on a Leaf Stone or two right away.
Where to Find a Leaf Stone in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
The Floaroma Meadow is the first of several locations where players can find a Leaf Stone in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. To find the stone, players must enter the meadow by the secret northern entrance, which can be found by surfing west along the stream in the southern part of Route 205. A Leaf Stone can also be found in the grass near the home on Route 225 and another in the mud near the Great Marsh’s center.
Players will be able to dig for Leaf Stones in the Grand Underground, just like they can for other Evolution Stones. They’re not as common as Fire and Thunder Stones, but they nevertheless appear on a regular basis. Those wanting to locate 42 Mysterious Shards in order to face all of the Legendary Pokemon at Ramanas Park will almost certainly find more than they need, and will most likely sell their extras to make some extra cash.

Gloom is the first of four Pokemon that develop with a Leaf Stone in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Gloom can be found on Routes 224, 229, and 230, as well as in the Grand Underground. These are also places where Weepinbell can be found. Nuzleaf and its unevolved form Seedot, on the other hand, can only be found in the Grand Underground, while Exeggcute can only be found in the Great Marsh.
