Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Where to Catch Magnemite

Due to its flexibility, powerful abilities, and fast attack speed, Magnemite has long been a fan favorite Pokémon. But, in both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, where can you find Magnemite? With that out of the way, we’ll show you where to get Magnemite in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl so you can grab the Electric/Steel-type as soon as possible.

Where to Catch Magnemite in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Magnemite can be obtained by visiting the Grand Underground and visiting Glacial Cavern, Icy Cave, Spacious Cave, or Whiteout Cave in both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. If you can’t find the Pokémon after entering either location, simply exit and enter it again to reset all of the Pokémon currently displayed. It’s worth noting that, unlike many other Pokémon found in the Grand Underground, Magnemite may be found and caught as soon as you get entrance to the area. To summarise, you can catch Magnemite in both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl by following the steps below:

  • Go to the Grand Underground.
  • Head to either Glacial Cavern, Icy Cave, Spacious Cave, or Whiteout Cave.
  • Exit and enter until you spot a Magnemite.
  • Battle and catch a Magnemite.

There are claims that Magnemite may also be found in Fuego Ironworks, where the Pokémon is a common sighting, however, we haven’t been able to verify this. To go to Fuego Ironworks, use Route 205 north to the lake and use HM Surf to get to the place.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are now available for the Nintendo Switch exclusively. If you’re not sure which version to acquire, compare the main differences between Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.
