Edinson Cavani is aiming to challenge for the Premier League title with Manchester United after joining the club on a free transfer.
The forward signed a one-year-deal at Old Trafford, with the option of a further 12 months, and brings a wealth of experience with him to the Premier League.
Cavani lifted six Ligue 1 titles during his time with Paris Saint-Germain on his way to become the club’s record goalscorer. He also lifted the Copa America trophy with Uruguay in 2011.
United finished third in the Premier League last season, finishing 33 points behind eventual winners Liverpool.
Cavani wants United to challenge for the league title again but also remain competitive in their other competitions.
“I believe that you can’t help but think that a club like Manchester United can aspire to win the title. Starting with the Premier League, and then moving on to other trophies,” he said.
