[Verse: Pop Smoke]
Look, I remember the days, same fit for a week straight
I used to eat fifty-cent cake, now, it’s Philippe’s
It’s Philippe’s for the steak, buy it, I don’t care what it cost
And I always keep a pole, I did a hundred on a pro
If you droppin’ a woo, we come where you live
Glock 9, infrared, pull up and еmpty the clip
Dread had the strap all summеr in the Floss movin’ reckless
Please do not play wit’ me, nigga, I keep a K wit’ me
[Chorus: Pop Smoke]
Nigga, we made it (Grr, woo)
Nigga, we made it, we made it (Woo)
Nigga, we made it (Woo)
Thank God that I made it
“We Made It” is an alternate version of Pop Smoke’s posthumously released 2021 track “Tell the Vision” which featured vocals from Kanye and frequent collaborator Pusha T, and was produced by Kanye before being sent to Pop Smoke’s manager, Steven Victor, who also manages Pusha T
Kanye initially teased that “Tell the Vision” would appear on DONDA in a now-deleted tweet, posted on July 18, 2020. However, following the release of Faith, the second posthumous album released by Pop Smoke’s label, Ye still wanted to pay tribute to him. It was premiered on July 22, 2021, during the DONDA live stream event.
