How can you get rid of your TikTok account?

If you’ve decided that TikTok is no longer for you, or if you simply want to delete your old account and start again, removing your account is a relatively simple process. This is how you do it.

TikTok has witnessed a massive surge in its number of users over the last several years, and it only seems to be growing in popularity by the day.

The app has become a hub for some of the internet’s most viral material and has become home to a slew of well-known personalities, trends, dances, and more.

Millions of users around the world have naturally been drawn to the bustling app, with some opting to attempt to establish their own following on the platform.

However, deleting your account is the way to go if you’ve decided you want a clean break from the app or simply want to get rid of your present account so you can start over from scratch.

How do I delete my TikTok account?

Fortunately, deleting your account is a straightforward procedure.

  • Launch TikTok.
  • Tap ‘Profile’ in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  • Click the three-line icon in the top right.
  • Tap ‘Manage account’ under ‘Account.’
  • Select ‘Delete account.’
  • Follow the in-app instructions.

Following these procedures only deactivates your account for the first 30 days, after which you can log in and click “Reactivate your account” to reactivate it. Your account, however, will be permanently deactivated when those 30 days have passed.

If you want to rejoin TikTok after your account has been permanently terminated, you must create a new account.
