The Nab-Sack is your tool for catching magical monsters and is awarded to you once you complete the task involving an elf, a sack, and a loom. You can receive the supplies you need to become a strong witch or wizard by capturing a Thestral and bringing it back to the Room of Requirement to be cared for.
