Gabby Petito: New details of the cause of death of Brian Laundrie has been revealed

According to attorney Steven Bertolino, Chris and Roberta Laundrie were informed that he died of a gunshot to the head and that it was a suicide. In the wake of the death of their son, Chris and Roberta are hopeful that these discoveries may bring them some measure of closure.
Following a “complete examination” of the retrieved skeletal bones and additional DNA analysis, the medical examiner’s office determined the cause of death.
Earlier this month, investigators discovered the bones of Brian, the ex-fiancé of the late YouTube star Gabby Petito, in a field. T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park were discovered on October 20 with human remains. FBI Denver claimed on Twitter that “a comparison of dental records” had validated Brian’s identity before the end of October.
During a press briefing, Florida law enforcement officials reported that Brian’s backpack and notebook were found in an area of the reserve that had previously been submerged underwater.
Brian’s remains were described as “skeletal” by a North Port Police spokeswoman.
Family lawyer Steve Bertolino claimed in a statement that Chris and Roberta Laundrie had been informed that the remains found in the reserve the day before were actually Brian’s after he was pronounced deceased.

According to various media reports, the Laundrie family attorney confirmed on Oct. 24 that Brian’s parents would not hold a traditional funeral service for him and instead declared that his remains will be cremated.
