Fortnite Chapter 4: How to kill Ageless Champion Boss
Even though Season 1 of Fortnite: Chapter 4 added a new island to the battle royale game, the final boss is still the same formidable foe you faced before. However, a different tactic will be needed to beat the new boss. This guide will show you how to quickly and simply defeat the Ageless Champion in Fortnite.
How can you beat Fortnite’s Ageless Champion?
The Citadel is the main castle on the northeastern half of the island, and the Ageless Champion resides there. After one visit, the Citadel is easy to find on any map.
The boss will be freely roaming the castle at any time, and no special conditions or missions are needed to initiate a fight with him. The Ageless Champion appears as a white-armored knight with two health bars—one for the shield and one for the regular health—above his head.
In response to the player’s presence, the Ageless Champion will launch an attack with his Ex-Caliber Rifle and Shockwave Hammer. This firearm fires a ballistic blade that explodes after a short delay, while the Shockwave Hammer is a gigantic mallet that can deal tremendous damage and knock opponents back.
Keep your distance from The Ageless Champion, since a single blow from his hammer can deal significant damage and even launch you off the island upon which The Citadel stands. Getting the boss outside where there’s more room to move around and see clearly is a top priority.
Before taking on the monster, it’s recommended that players stock up on weaponry, with ranged options like the Twin Mag SMG and Red-Eye Assault Rifle being the most effective. You can easily take down the Ageless Champion if you just avoid him and fire when you have the chance.
The fight will go much more quickly if you link up with other people who are also trying to take down the boss. Upon defeat, the boss will drop a Shockwave Hammer and a Mythic Ex-Caliber Rifle known as The Ageless Champion’s Ex-Caliber Rifle.
