While Clive is the main focus of Final Fantasy XVI, you will have a few allies to help you along the way. Torgal, your inseparable dog companion, is the single most crucial member of your party. Aside from Clive, the only other character with a stat and improvement system is Torgal, to whom you may send direct commands. Check below to know how to level up torgal(Pedigree) in Final Fantasy XVI.
Final Fantasy XVI – How to Level Up Torgal (Pedigree)
Torgal’s Pedigree is useful since it can be made better with minimal effort. Pedigree naturally rises as the novel progresses since Torgal fights and travels with Clive, raising the stakes for everyone involved.
You can have some effect on this by giving Torgal lots of D-pad commands, but there’s a simpler method. As soon as you get the Ring of Timely Assistance accessory, your friend will automatically engage in combat and heal whenever he needs to. Torgal’s hands-off approach enables you give your whole attention to other parts of the fight.
It’s also worth noting that somewhere around the game’s midpoint, Torgal will automatically gain access to a powerful new ability that greatly improves his combat effectiveness.
Torgal Accessories in Final Fantasy XVI
In addition to Pedigree, there are two other add-ons available that boost Torgal’s stats. You can get these through two different Torgal-related tasks, and they’ll each take up one of your three accessory slots. The list of missions is listed below.
A Bone to Pick (Reward: Cavall’s Fang)
After finishing Mid’s invention and reading the letter in Clive’s room, the quest will become available.
More than Worlds (Reward: Cavall’s Fang +1)
Back to Their Origin is the final major mission, and this side quest unlocks shortly before it. The proper letter needs to be read in Clive’s private study.
