Planning a trip with Qantas? Now’s a great time to book. American Express is offering $250 back when you spend $1,250 or more on Qantas-operated flights through their US website. The deal is valid until July 4, 2025, and includes seat selection and baggage fees if booked together.

Spend $1,250 or more in one or multiple purchases directly with Qantas online for Qantas-operated flights and receive a $250 statement credit through an Amex Offer.

Key Terms

  • Offer ends July 4, 2025.
  • Only valid on purchases made directly through the US Qantas website (qantas.com/us) or the US Qantas app.
  • Flights must depart from the United States.
  • Extras like seat selection and baggage fees qualify if added during the initial booking and listed on the same receipt.
  • Not valid for bookings made by phone, at airports, lounges, or in-flight.
  • Excludes third-party purchases, travel insurance, hotels, car rentals, tours, airport transfers, gift cards, Qantas Club fees, merchandise, Bid Now Upgrades, Points Plus Pay bookings, and vacation packages.
  • Transactions must be charged in US dollars.

This is a good offer if you’re planning a trip to Australia. Just remember: you need to book online, directly with Qantas, and the flights must be operated by Qantas and originate in the US.

It’s likely that award tickets booked with Qantas points—if the taxes and fees total $1,250 or more—might trigger the credit. Similar offers have worked that way before. If you try it, feel free to share your results.
