Where to get Sawdust?
The Sawmill is a specialized resource–refining construction in V Rising. It automatically breaks down the things you feed it and converts them into new ones.
To begin making Sawdust, head to the designated location Ulfred. There is a Sawmill there. To power up the Sawmill, the Blood Essence must be placed into the Castle Heart.
Insert Lumber into the Sawmill’s input grid, and it will automatically transform it into Sawdust and Planks, which may be retrieved at the output grid.
It is critical to emphasize that you will need at least 20 Lumber to complete this project.
How to operate a sawmill?
Having difficulties with the Sawmill? This section will walk you through the Sawmill’s operation.
A sawmill is a basic machine that runs on its own. Place the raw item in the input grid, and the machine will process it over time, enabling you to gather the desired item in the output grid. It’s as simple as that!
When you interact with the Sawmill, the top of the window displays a list of recipes, followed by the “Input” and “Output” grids at the bottom. Each recipe is divided into two sections.
The area to the left of the arrow indicates what you must input into the Input grid, and the section to the right of the arrow shows what you will get after the Sawmill has finished its operation.
The Sawmill will automatically split 20 Lumber into 1 Plank and 1 Sawdust, which you may gather from the Output grid.
Because this procedure takes time, it is best to set some Lumber and leave it there before returning later to pick the processed item from the output grid.
How to improve the sawmill?
In V Rising, you may also update the Sawmill to make it more efficient by completing specific conditions. This section will walk you through the process of upgrading the Sawmill.
Three panels may be seen at the very top of the Sawmill interaction window.

The first panel, Castle Heart Powered, specifies whether or not the Sawmill is powered by a Castle Heart. The second panel demonstrates that isolating the Sawmill in a limited space composed of stone castle walls and flooring may enhance its refining rate by 25%.
According to the third panel, Has Matching Floor, putting down the Workshop flooring may cut the cost of all construction recipes by 25%.

How to make planks with sawdust?
As previously stated, Planks and Sawdust are received from the Sawmill at the same time. When you place Lumber in the Sawmill, it will instantly convert it to Planks and Sawdust. As a result, you won’t have to attempt any other method to gain Planks in V Rising.
