The Quarry is an interactive narrative game. Thus, it does not just follow a linear plot route from beginning to end. Instead, players will have opportunities to make decisions during the course of the game. These decisions will have an impact on how events will unfold. This guide will assist you in unlocking all of The Quarry’s Paths, which are branching or “Paths” in the narrative that are created by the decisions you make throughout The Quarry.
All the Paths within the Quarry
Paths in The Quarry provide you with options on how to go through the game based on the decisions you make. In “The Quarry,” taking one of many possible routes might result in one of several distinct results or conclusions. You get to decide who survives and who dies. Also what actions to take in the game, based on the decisions you make during it.
You have a total of 15 different options to choose from while playing the game. The decisions you make along these routes will determine how the tale ends.
You will find below an explanation of each of the Paths that are available to you in The Quarry. As well as instructions on how to unlock those Paths, with as little spoilers as possible.
Laura and Max Path
In Hacket’s Quarry. You will have to contend with a variety of dangers while taking control of both Max and Laura. At the conclusion of the prologue. You will be given the option to either rescue Max or just from the scene. This will signify the initial route that you choose to take in the game. It will be different for everyone.
Above the Law Path
This will be your second route choices in the game, and it will depend on the decision you made before. A police officer is about to pull over Laura. You had the option of telling the police officer the truth or lying to them instead.
Fool’s Errand Path
This option is available to choose while playing the game as Jacob in Chapter 1. He desires, via all means possible, for everyone to remain in the camp for an extended period of time. This will provide you with a variety of options for sabotaging the vehicle. To make it hard to start, you may either cut the fuel line or take the rotor arm. Both of these options are available to you.
Down the Rabbit Hole
When playing as Abigail, this is another another option available to you in chapter 1’s storyline. Your baggage and Emma’s were among those that were left inside the cabin. You may either make an attempt to smash down the door, or you can just leave the luggage there.
Playing with Fire Path
At chapter 2, when Emma and Jacob are in the general shop of the camp. After opening the safe, you are presented with the option to remove the explosive or to let it remain inside the container.
Watch Your Step Path
You will be given the option to investigate a secret door located behind the desk in Hackett’s office. This will happen during the second chapter of the game while you are playing as Dylan. You have two options: either descend through the trap door or just leave it as it is. If you ignore the trap door, you won’t find out how to get out of the maze.
Pieces of Silver Path
In chapter 3, Nick gets assaulted by something unknown when he is in the woods. You take control of Abigail throughout the game. You will have the option to either try to rescue him or simply escape away from him.
Finders Keepers Path
This route may be activated in a number of different ways. When you play the role of Ryan in chapter 3. You will have the opportunity to choose which path you will pursue in order to rescue Nick. There are two ways to get to Nick, but each one will include some obstacles along the way. It also depends on how much time you spend traveling along certain roads. This will inform you what kind of shape Nick will be in.
Distraction Path
In chapter 4, when you get to play as Jacob, you will find yourself entangled in the snare trap. When the hunter makes an attempt to release you from the trap. You have the option to either remain still there or to attempt to flee from the hunter by throwing dirt in his face.
Helping Hand Path
In chapter 5, Ryan will hear Dylan pleading for his assistance after he has been bitten. Ryan consents to your request. As a result, you will be given the option to either shoot his hand off with a pistol or just use the chainsaw to chop his hand off.
The White Whale Path
This trail may be reached by a number of different routes. When you play as Laura and go through Chapter 7, you will eventually find yourself incarcerated. There will be someone standing watch.
You are presented with options to either incapacitate the guard with a needle or just steal his weapon. If you are successful in knocking him unconscious with your needle. You will steal his pistol and then make a decision over whether or not to kill him.
You also have the option of fighting for his gun, at which point you will be given the decision of whether to kill him or leave him alone.
Teambuilding Path
In chapter 8, when you get to play as Kaitlyn, you have to travel to the scrapyard to retrieve a new component for the vehicle, which Jacob had previously destroyed. During the course of the talk, you will have the option of either encouraging Dylan or not doing so.
Love’s Labour Lost Path
In chapter 8, Jacob is placed in a cell under Hackett’s home, and you are given the option to either liberate him or keep him imprisoned up.
In the event that you want to let him free, you will be required to input the appropriate breaker sequence. First push the first and second switches, and then press the second and third switches. If the sequence is not completed successfully, Jacob will be imprisoned for all of eternity.
A Pound of Flesh Path
In Chapter 9, Ryan succumbs to his wounds and dies. You take on the role of Laura, and it is up to you to determine whether or not to rescue him by biting him. This will be the last option available to choose in the game.
Keepsakes Path
In Chapter 1, if you choose to play as Jacob, you will have the opportunity to retrieve Emma’s silver bracelet from the area between the van and the gate. If you choose to disregard it, the route will not be activated.
