Odyssey Sets New Record at U.S. Box Office for Monday 2026, with $18.67 Million.
The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s latest film, has consistently been the top grosser at the box office since its release on October 11, having made $18.67 million last night in North America to surpass any Monday figure since 2026.

The industry estimates that The Odyssey grossed $18.67 million on Monday, beating the previous Monday record of $17.3 million for Toy Story 5.
The movie also beat Nolan’s first Monday collection of Oppenheimer, which grossed $12.67 million on its debut.
The Odyssey’s sixth, behind only The Dark Knight ($24.4 million) and The Dark Knight Rises ($19.3 million), is Christopher Nolan’s third-largest opening for a film on Monday.

Strong opening continues after record debut
The new one is the most recent step in a stellar first weekend for the epic.
The Odyssey opened in North America at $124.5 million at 3,919 theaters, the third-highest opening in the country for 2026, trailing only Toy Story 5 and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Globally, the movie grossed $139.6 million in 73 countries and secured its world debut of $264.1 million, the largest on an international level in Christopher Nolan’s career.
IMAX continues to be popular.
The strong demand for the film in premium formats, especially IMAX, is continuing.
According to reports, the majority of the IMAX screenings in major cities, such as LA and New York, are still sold out or nearly full. Like Oppenheimer, Universal will also keep all of its IMAX screens held over for the movie this second weekend.
The big screenings of the film’s biggest size were an important component of its opening weekend sales, marking ongoing demand for Nolan’s newest spectacle on the largest screens.
