Sandy Hook was ‘100 percent real,’ as per Alex Jones
It was irresponsible of Alex Jones to label the Sandy Hook Elementary School murder a fabrication, the conspiracy theorist testified Wednesday, and he now believes it was “100% real.”
After the parents of a 6-year-old of boy who died in the 2012 incident spoke about the pain, death threats, and harassment they have faced because of what Jones has trumpeted on his media platforms, the Infowars host told a Texas courtroom that he believes the attack occurred.
“Especially since I’ve met the parents. It’s 100% real”
Even if an apology were enough, Heslin and Lewis said Tuesday they would not accept it, and that Jones should be held accountable for disseminating falsehoods about the attack. They are hoping to raise at least $150 million for their project.
It is acceptable for whatever you decide to do, I suppose,” Jones said to the jury when asked if he thought the award of more than $2 million “will sink us.”
Closing arguments are set to begin Wednesday afternoon following the conclusion of testimony.
One of Jones’s only witnesses is testifying on his behalf. Was it “absolutely irresponsible” for him to push the false allegations that the massacre did not occur and no one died? His counsel asked him this question.
I do, but Jones added that “They (the media) won’t let me take it back.”
“typecast as someone that runs around talking about Sandy Hook, makes money off Sandy Hook, is obsessed by Sandy Hook.” he said.
The Oklahoma City and Boston Marathon bombings, as well as the mass shootings in Las Vegas and Parkland, have all been cited as examples of Jones’s previous accusations of conspiracy, which were cross-examined by attorney Mark Bankston.
