Pokemon Legends: Arceus – A new Nintendo Switch controller and other extras are on the way

A new Nintendo Switch controller and other extras are on the way to Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

With the upcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Hori is releasing a trio of new, officially licenced accessories to celebrate the game. With the Arceus Vault Case, gamers can travel with their system and 10 games in a safe and secure way. The Adventure Pack is a better option for Pokemon fans who need to travel with their dock and charger. Of course, the Split Pad Pro is the most intriguing possibility. The controller is much larger than the standard Joy-Cons, allowing gamers to have more options. All three items will be available on the same day as the game and feature artwork of the Mythical Pokemon.

The Tweet embedded below includes images of the collection. Pre-orders for the Vault Case, Adventure Pack, and Split Pad Pro are currently available on Amazon.

Overall, this collection appears to be quite interesting! The Split Pad Pro does not have all of the features that one would expect from a traditional Joy-Con, and this should be noted by those who have not purchased one. To be specific, support for the IR camera, HD Rumble, NFC (amiibo), and motion controls have all been removed. These omissions may not bother some gamers as much as others, but ultimately, it comes down to individual taste. If you’re a fan of the Split Pad Pro, you’ve had a variety of options to choose from over the years.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company appear to be shifting their attention to Legends: Arceus now that Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have been released! The Hisui region will be home to several new Pokemon that aren’t found elsewhere in the series. Pokemon Legends: Arceus may or may not succeed in offering a unique gaming experience, but it appears to be on track to be the first major Switch release in 2022. When the game is released on January 28th, fans will be able to see if it lives up to its promise!
