The Suicide Squad (Releasing August 5)
Welcome to Belle Reve, the jail for the world’s worst super-villains, where they’ll do anything to escape, including joining the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Those brave enough to face the risk are dumped (literally) on a secluded jungle island to conduct a search and destroy mission. Did we mention it’s teeming with guerilla fighters and militant foes? They’re dead if they make one wrong move. So, there’s no pressure or anything like that. This action adventure comedy features an all-star cast, including Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Nathan Fillion, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, and Viola Davis (to name a few), as well as plenty of heart-pounding drama and excitement, so do yourself a favour and watch it as soon as HBO Max releases it early this month.
Reminiscence(Released August 20)
Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman) is a private investigator of the mind who helps his customers regain lost memories in this epic future sci-fi blockbuster. When he takes on Mae (Rebecca Ferguson) as a client, however, what started out as a simple case of lost and found turns into a dangerous obsession. Reminiscence is a mind-bending and thrilling trip from start to finish, with a strong ensemble that includes Jackman, Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, and more. Make sure to catch up on all the action by watching the film as soon as it opens on HBO Max.
