Welcome to our guide “Minecraft: How To Find And Mine Obsidian?”. You can discover, mine and use bricks in Minecraft. Not everything is as accessible as wood. Some materials need knowledge & tools. Obsidian is one. This game has always included volcanic rock since the beginning and  players don’t know how to get it. You’ll waste your time with a pickaxe. Here’s how to mine the almost impenetrable material.

How to find Obsidian in Minecraft?

Obsidian is not something that just shows up in every of the game’s biomes. In fact, you can only find this in the woods in a few places. The one that happens most often is underground. If you look around long enough under the earth, you’ll probably find an area of lava with water sloshing over it. Some obsidian will be waiting to be mined under the water. On the other hand, there is a lot of obsidian within the End. First, the material is used to make the platform you start on. In the dimension, there are also big obsidian pillars that keep the end crystals. So you can destroy them. But this isn’t a good way to get the substance because it will take a fair bit longer than going into caves.

How to mine Obsidian in Minecraft?

Even if you find some obsidian, that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to mine it effectively. The blocks are hard, and you can only move them with a diamond or a netherite pickaxe. If you noticed obsidian in a cave, be careful, since each block usually has lava beneath it. So, if you cut one, it will probably fall right into the fire and get burnt. Pouring water beside the block you want to break is a good idea to prevent this. Then, when you break it, the water would then cover the lava so that your item doesn’t burn. Or, you can carefully dig underneath the block and replace the lava with a bucket and some blocks.
