Two weeks of Pokemon Go’s Power Plant event are dedicated to celebrating the Kanto as well as Kalos regions and Electric-type Pokemon such as Pikachu and Shinx. Along with Timed Research activities and new Raid Bosses, players can now catch the Kalos region’s Electric/Normal-type Helioptile & transform it into Heliolisk!

In Pokemon Go, how can you get Helioptile?
- You can capture Helioptile in two ways in the Power Plant event:
- As a wild encounter.
- Reward for completing event-only Field Research tasks.
- The best way to find a Helioptile is to find one in the wild, but this isn’t guaranteed. Making PokeStops with Incense and otherwise Lure Modules should assist. Trying to complete event exclusive Field Research activities could yield a Helioptile, and Timed Research may yield a Heloptile as well.
- It is uncertain what will occur to Helioptile after the Power Plant event, but its odds of breeding in the wild are slim, so collect as many as you can now.
Is it possible for Helioptile to be Shiny within Pokemon Go?
A Shiny Helioptile is right now missing from Pokemon Go. So, for now, you’ll have to adjust with normal Helioptile.
There’s no word on it when Shiny Helioptile would then show up, but previous Shinies suggest years. Keep an eye out for any future Kalos or Electric-themed events.
How do you turn a Helioptile into a Heliolisk?
Heliolisk requires 50 Candy as well as the Sun Stone to evolve. Getting 50 Candy shouldn’t be too difficult but utilising the Pinap Berries & transferring Heloptile can help. If you don’t have an extra Sun Stone, our guide will help you to find one.
Once you have sufficient Candy as well as a Sun Stone, choose your preferred Helioptile based on their stats, touch ‘Evolve’ and view the animation.
