Hard Rock Atlantic City’s New President will be Anthony Faranca
This week, Hard Rock International announced the promotion of Anthony Faranca to president of the Atlantic City location.
This comes at the same time as Joe Lupo, president of Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, has been nominated president of the upcoming Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, pending regulatory approval.
He is an experienced casino executive who has worked in a variety of states.
For the Philadelphia native whose professional career began in Atlantic City, this is a moment of culmination. The Cordish Cos. has hired Faranca as vice president and general manager of Live! Casino in Hanover, Maryland, after she previously worked in Las Vegas. His work in that capacity included the establishment of FanDuel Sportsbook and the construction of an event hall that could hold up to 5,500 people.
In the words of Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International, “Anthony’s deep knowledge of Atlantic City and the Northeast region is an invaluable asset.” Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City’s “legacy of success and impactful leadership in the community” will continue with Anthony’s appointment, according to the company.
If regulators give the green light, Faranca will assume her new position on September 1st. Since 2018, Lupo has led Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City as its president.
“As president of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City for the past four years, Joe Lupo has achieved amazing results,” said Allen. “Thanks to his dedication and expertise, financial results continue to outperform expectations, while our team members share an unmatched commitment to guest service and satisfaction. I am confident Joe Lupo will achieve even greater success at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.”
The Casino Association of New Jersey currently has Lupo as its president. CANJ did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether Lupo would step down from that position and what his next steps would be.
