GTA 5: PS5 & Xbox Series X release date is officially confirmed! yes, it is true. Rockstar Games has officially revealed the release date for Grand Theft Auto 5. The game’s update was announced in 2020, but the developer hasn’t said when gamers might expect it.
GTA V and GTA Online on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S “feature new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options and ray-tracing,” Rockstar said.
Players can also move their GTA Online characters from PS4 and Xbox One to their newer platforms, which is a wonderful option.
There will be a standalone version of GTA 5 for those who haven’t played it yet. This standalone edition is “free for the first three months for PlayStation 5 players”.
Most significantly, Rockstar says GTA 5 will be released on March 15, 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Les Santos will be available in 4K at 60 frames per second within two months.
New additions in GTA Online include the opportunity to bypass the GTAV Story Mode prologue before joining Online and a brand new GTA Online Tutorial. Each of the four illegal enterprises (Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, and Gunrunner) comes with a hefty GTA$ windfall to help pick out a home, a high-end car, and the weapons necessary to get started.
GTA 5 PS5 & Xbox Series X release date confirmed: Overview
The generational update for GTA 5 and GTA Online has been much anticipated. While Rockstar confirmed a new open-world game was in the works, it kept the release date and other specifics hidden.
Rockstar was similarly opaque about the updated version’s enhancements. This isn’t GTA 5’s first generational update; after its PC release, a PS4 and Xbox One version was released. This upgrade included important new features including first-person mode.
The enhancements Rockstar revealed today for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are pleasant, but hardly groundbreaking.
There may be more news, although GTA fans may have anticipated something more dramatic, given the new version’s two-year development cycle.
