The Fortnite Item Donation Boards are a new addition to the battle royale, and they allow for the return of weapons and goods from the vault, as well as the introduction of new ones like the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle.
These boards give players access to a voting mechanism in which they can donate gold bars to fund one of two options, with the one that receives the most votes winning an appearance in Fortnite right away.
It’s up to you as a player whether or not you want to take part in this process, but if there’s a specific choice that you believe deserves your support, check out our guide on where to find the Fortnite Item Donation Boards and how they work.
Fortnite Item Donation Boards Locations
There are 15 Fortnite Item Donation Boards in all, as shown on the map above. With the exception of Coral Castle and Weeping Woods, these are all found in specified locations, albeit there are a few extra ones near Lockie’s Lighthouse and Stealthy Stronghold to make up for it.
When you’re close to one, you’ll notice an icon of a money bag with a $ symbol – though keep in mind that the same icon is used for the distinct Fortnite Turret Donation Boards.
How to use Fortnite Item Donation Boards
When you approach one of the Fortnite Item Donation Boards and interact with the gold bar deposit bin next to it, you’ll be given the option of choosing between the two weapons or items currently up for a player vote, as well as a percentage of how close each of them is to meeting their funding goal.
Each vote costs 50 gold bars, and you can cast as many votes as you like for either (or both) options as long as you have the funds.
