Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Error 2002 Explained: How to Fix

The servers have been swamped since Endwalker early access began. The servers are so crowded that gamers got Error 2002 while trying to log in. This is irritating since you have to close your game and risk losing your queue position if you get this error. An hour of waiting is wasted when the waits for Final Fantasy XIV are generally approximately 4,000 persons lengthy. Others are unsure how to access their Collector’s Edition content. Let’s review what Error 2002 is and how to fix it.

What is Error 2002?

If you try to connect to your data centre during peak hours, you may see this error. The error is generated by overloaded servers. According to Square Enix, a single data centre can only accommodate roughly 17,000 simultaneous players. If this limit is surpassed, random players will be disconnected. This is why you can be thrown out of the queue just before logging in. The workaround for this problem is to increase the maximum player count to 21,000 at any moment.

How to Fix Error 2002?

So Square Enix is fixing it on the 7th night when the player count is reduced. However, given the number of new participants, the issue may not be resolved. If you get this error, restart your game. Since the error isn’t your fault, a restart should fix it. If you continue getting Error 2002, but do not get a different error if the servers are down, then the data centres may be down.

Enqueue and get Error 2002? Restart the game and re-enter the queue. You can even move up in the queue while relaunching since a placeholder is used for your spot. Just keep an eye on your game as you queue. If you wait too long, you’ll lose your spot and have to start over. Check out our other tutorials for more Final Fantasy XIV help.
