Welcome to our ‘Elden Ring: How To Defeat the Fire Giant’ guide. The Fire Giant is at the Site of Grace, Foot of the Forge in the Mountaintops of the Giants area. You must get through the enormous chains to reach the boss arena.
How to defeat the Fire Giant?
- It’s not advised to summon Alexander. He’ll stop you from utilizing the ride and summoning Ashes, and he’ll be terrible at battling the monster.
- Instead, destroy the boss alone or with Spirit Ashes, such as Black Knife Tiche. He’ll effortlessly avoid his assaults while agitating the monster and damaging him.
- No mount in the initial phase. Except at the start of the boss fight. The Fire Giant has multiple strikes that require accurate dodging.
- Attack the unarmored leg (left one). This is the boss’s flaw. If the Giant’s fur falls to the ground after many hits, you have stunned him.
- After attacking his leg, he gains two more fire attacks. The first is a slow-moving fireball. It eventually bursts.
- Second assault is a projectile. Avoid this attack on horseback.
- Most attacks inflict a lot of harm. In this fight, use an HP regeneration potion, even if it only regenerates a little amount. This allows you to escape dying after one hit (depending on your character’s HP).
- It is prudent to have anti-fire gear and accessories.
- Stay near to the boss, both melee and mages. You will make the struggle much simpler. This means you’ll be able to dodge many of the boss’s blows.
- The boss takes a lot of ice damage. It is wise to use weapons or spells that deal this sort of damage.
- The Fire Giant is somewhat resistant to bleeding. So strikes that impose this state can help shorten battles. Early on, especially.
How to fight the the Fire Giant?
Invest on frost damage spells before the fight. Such as Adula’s Moonblade or Glinstone Icecrag. Useful weapon: a frost weapon. It may be any weapon with the Ashes of War Hoarfrost Stomp, like the Dark Moon Greatsword or the Icerind Hatchet.
You can also wear the Snow Witch Hat. The headgear amplifies the ice magic.
As soon as you approach the boss arena, call Black Knife Tiche and mount up to him. In this fight, you should try to close the gap between you and the boss. So he won’t utilize his stronger strikes like stomp, which does a lot of area damage and is hard to evade.
Dismount and strike his left foot once you’re near. You should be able to exhaust his health bar with a few frost damage attacks or spells. You will also stun him.
When the Fire Giant rolls away from you, saddle your horse and approach him. Cast frost spells. Useful for Adula’s Moonbladee Particularly when both the blade and the missile hit the target. The boss will so take cumulative damage. You will also get frostbite faster.
The fight’s second phase is distinctive. First, the boss will ignite the earth. Keep your distance since the damage from this assault might be fatal. Mages can ride the horse and use the Glintstone Icecrag spell to put out the flames.
Keep in mind that this spell’s range is limited. Keep a safe distance from the fire.
After a few seconds, the fire goes out, and the “second attack phase” begins. The Fire Giant’s body will emit fire rocks. It’s an area attack, but it shouldn’t affect you if you go closer to the boss. Stay close to him.The moment has come to use Adula’s Moonbladee. The boss should perish from assaults and frostbite after a few spells. You may use this spell while mounted.
Use your horse to get near to the boss. On horseback, you can’t avoid the giant’s assaults. The only way to dodge it is to roll just before his assault hits you.
During the initial phase, keep close to the giant’s left leg and attack it frequently. After around 20% HP loss, the boss will drop the bandage and pause, allowing you to launch a series of hits.
The opponent will now employ fire attacks. A flaming orb steadily pursues the player. It bursts after a time, so keep away from it. The second assault is fire pillars. They will be lighted, so avoid them. When assaulting the Giant’s foot, keep an eye out for explosives and find a safe location to stand. Your opponent will be continually attacked.
When you exhaust the Giant’s HP bar, it starts rolling more and using fire strikes. Getting near to the monster in the second phase may need a mount.
Stay close to his right thigh for the rest. You will save a lot of potential harm if your opponent rolls to the left. You will also evade the boss’s fire strikes. If he exhales fire, ride your horse to the side and carefully approach his right thigh. By then, the battle should be done.
