Diablo 2 Resurrected: Beginner’s guide
Looking for a Diablo 2 Resurrected beginner’s guide? It’s been more than two decades since Diablo 2 was released, so it’s fair if you don’t recall every every detail of the RPG game. Though Blizzard did a fantastic job rebuilding Diablo 2, there are some features of the game that haven’t aged well. Who would have believed a game named after the devil could be so cruel?
Whether you’re a seasoned Diablo player looking for a refresher or a complete beginner to the series, these pointers should come in handy right away.
USEFUL SHORTCUTS
You’ll spend a lot of time in Diablo 2’s inventory menus when you’re not fighting. With the new quality of life update that allows you to instantaneously sell an item at a store, you may speed up the selling process. To sell an item in your inventory to a merchant, hold control and left click on it. This helpful little shortcut can save you a lot of time, saving you minutes each time you complete combating demons.
You can also utilize another merchant-related shortcut to buy many products in one go. You can buy a stack of items by holding down Shift and right clicking. This is useful for buying scrolls for your tombs because it allows you to buy 20 scrolls at one go. By hitting shift and left click, you can also put objects to your belt directly.
Finally, use alt to show all of the goods that have fallen to the ground. This is important because it allows you to view every thing on the screen, allowing you to be more discriminating about what you choose. Most players pick up whatever old junk they can sell at the start of the game, but this slows down dramatically as you start finding better loot.
PURCHASE TOMBS RIGHT AWAY
Along with potions, identify scrolls and town portals will be two of your most useful items in Diablo 2. Purchase a tomb of identity and a town gateway as soon as you obtain access to the seller in Act 1. Each vessel in these tombs may hold up to 20 scrolls, saving you a lot of inventory space. The tombs should become a staple of your inventory throughout the game, taking up roughly the same amount of space from start to finish.
DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR MERCENARY
Diablo 2 doesn’t spend a lot of time explaining what mercenaries are and how to employ them effectively. There are mercenaries in practically every act that will fight alongside you for a fee. After completing the Blood Raven mission, Kashya rewards you with a Rogue mercenary in Act 1. Mercenaries fight alongside you until they die, and if you aren’t paying attention, they can perish rapidly.
While this may appear to be a disadvantage, mercenaries can be highly valuable, especially for lone players who require assistance. Mercenaries can be outfitted with the same equipment and weapons as you. The simplest approach to boost your mercenary’s survivability is to upgrade their gear — if you want your AI companion to tank damage for you, you’ll have to share your treasure. By holding shift and tapping the corresponding button, you can even give your mercenary potions right from your belt.
SPEND YOUR SKILL POINTS CAREFULLY
Diablo 2 Resurrected has a number of significant quality-of-life improvements, but one of them is the option to respec whenever you choose. That’s true, you only have one chance to respec your character during the entire game. Akara allows you to reset all of your talents after finishing the Den of Evil mission in Act 1. This is a once-in-a-difficulty opportunity.
Because you can only rectify your mistakes once, it’s critical that you invest your skill and stat points wisely. It’s worthwhile to follow a build guide to avoid throwing your valuable points. Diablo 2 Resurrected allows you to raise the difficulty of your character, but you won’t be able to survive if your points have left you too weak to combat the creatures.
There is an another technique that allows you to respec whenever you want, but it requires you to complete the Hell hard endgame content. This entails defeating each boss in each of the five acts – since you’ve made it this far, your build can’t be that horrible, right?
FEEL FREE TO EXPERIMENT WITH YOUR CLASS
So, remember how we stated earlier that you should invest your skill points wisely? Don’t be scared to experiment with your build if you’re only going to play the game once on Normal difficulty. Diablo 2’s beginner difficulty doesn’t force you to make the best build possible; if you want to try something new, you can get away with wasting some points.
We don’t believe it’s conceivable to make a build so poor that you can’t finish the game on regular difficulty, but it is definitely doable on Nightmare and Hell. Use Normal as a canvas for your imagination, but if you want to increase the difficulty, it’s a good idea to use a build guide instead.
