Destiny 2: Matador 64 god roll guide
The return of various fan-favorite weapons from the original Destiny was promised with the release of the 30th Anniversary event in Destiny 2. One of these weapons is the Matador 64, a powerful shotgun from Destiny 1 that was every Crucible player’s greatest fear. Matador 64 is still a force to be reckoned with in PvP with the correct rolls, even if it doesn’t quite live up to its initial status.
While non-slug frame shotguns are currently struggling in PvE, Matador 64 has several unique attribute combinations that could be effective for lower-tier content like strikes, patrol, or even nightfalls. Finding a decent PvE roll of this weapon is also a smart idea in case non-slug shotguns eventually gain a bonus in the PvE sandbox.
How to get Matador 64
The Matador 64 is one of the few weapons available exclusively through the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. Fortunately, this weapon has a chance to drop on all three encounters, making it one of the most straightforward weapons to obtain. Additionally, once you’ve obtained the Matador 64, you can repeat the dungeon as many times as you like to keep collecting Matador 64 drops, but don’t expect them to be at peak power.

PvP God Roll
When the 30th Anniversary event was released, most players anticipated Matador 64 would be a powerful frame shotgun in the vein of Felwinter’s Lie or Astral Horizon. Matador 64, on the other hand, is a precision frame shotgun, which means it already has a great range. As a result, you’ll want to invest as much as possible in handling and speed, as well as some extra range here and there.

PvE God Roll
As previously stated, Matador 64 may not be the best choice for PvE right now, but it has the potential to be fantastic in the future for specific builds and metas. Players have a lot of freedom when it comes to rolling on this weapon because of the various characteristic combinations. Matador 64, on the other hand, has some strange benefits that don’t appear to work well with its archetype, so choose wisely.
