Dave the Diver – How to Catch Moray Eel
Dave the Diver’s Moray Eel can only be caught by swimming at night, which is unlocked by completing the side quest A Noisy Customer. To gain a source of light for your evening journeys, you must complete the Duff’s Pink Delivery plotline featuring the Giant Squid.
There is no set location for the Moray Eel, however a blue waypoint will be placed there when the A Noisy Customer quest is running. Ours was located with a simple nighttime dive into the initial drop point:
The eel will soon begin attacking, so be prepared to regularly block its blows and deal your own. You may speed things up by opening the containers and pulling out more powerful weapons to use.
Once you have the fish, you may go back to the restaurant and use two eels and one Turmeric to unlock the Moray Eel Curry in the Research area. Looking in Cooking Pots will get you fast access to any missing ingredients.
If you don’t have Moray Eel Curry on the menu that night, you won’t be able to finish the assignment. The player then has the option to take the dish from Bancho and serve it to Otto in order to complete the objective and gain access to a new fishing method.
