Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Synopsis
The information was tweeted along with a brief video by the official Call of Duty Twitter account. The film contains no in-game footage, but rather drone shots of a shipyard full of Call of Duty art, with narration provided by the characters in the paintings. The tweet also states that the game “ships” on October 28, implying that this is all a play on words for a game with a lot of ships. Later, the Call of Duty website was updated with character descriptions for Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, Simon “Ghost” Riley, and Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces, the latter of whom is new to the franchise.
Other details
There was also some graffiti that said “J-8-22,” which appears to refer to June 8, 2022. (July is technically possible, but not likely). As it is the day before Summer Game Fest Live, this may be the reveal of some gameplay or a complete video. This would also be consistent with what insider Tom Henderson has stated, as he expressly stated a June 8 reveal a few weeks ago.
