Apple will release $99 earbuds in 2024
Apple’s AirPods range has become well-known and has experienced growth in sales year after year, joining the ranks of Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and MacBook product lines. What about a brand new set of Apple AirPods for only $99? As it turns out, Apple is working on a new pair of AirPods that will retail for as little as $99. Considering their low price point, what can we hope to see with Apple’s forthcoming TWS AirPods? It seems Apple has been investigating ways to equip the inexpensive AirPods with a powerful set of features. Let’s take a deeper look at the rumors surrounding Apple’s upcoming, inexpensive AirPods.
Apple’s $99 AirPods are scheduled for release in 2024
It has been speculated that two subsequent generations of AirPods, one at a more accessible price point, would be released in 2024. But, hey, if you’ve been waiting for a new pair of earbuds in 2024, perhaps we’ll see these new earbuds at the official Far Out event in 2024, as it has been reported that this pair of low-cost AirPods will debut in the second quarter of 2024. We also have word from well-known Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo that production of the AirPods is set to ramp up in Cupertino in 2018.
What is the expected specification?
There’s a chance we’ll see major concessions if Apple makes cheap earphones, given the company’s track record. However, that just doesn’t seem plausible! Apple will keep emphasizing the high-end capabilities, including noise cancellation and a special chip made just to power the inexpensive earbuds. Furthermore, it has been claimed that the AirPods’ design will remain the same as it has been year after year. Therefore, there will be no change to the design.
Why is Apple releasing the AirPods at such a low price?
Because Android earbuds manufacturers like OnePlus and Samsung have been so dominant in the affordable earphone market, Apple plans to release these new, cheaper AirPods exclusively to compete in that market. The competition among low-cost earbuds will surely heat up with Apple’s entry into the market.
