A man stabs a mother of two to death in the front yard of their home
Reporters and the San Carlos Police Department were told by eyewitnesses that a man had used a sword to behead his girlfriend, a mother of two.
Chapel Throrborne Eyewitnesses insist the head was under the car; Throrborne claims the victim’s throat was slashed before her body was covered.
Given the grisly nature of the reported occurrences, San Carlos PD officers started their investigation by interviewing nearby residents.
A restraining order was filed against Jose Solano Landaeta, the victim’s ex-boyfriend, by the woman and her two young children (aged seven and one), and the news source learned of this in May.
A murder inquiry has been opened on Jose Solano Landaeta, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Authorities have not provided any other information about the beheading beyond saying the deceased was slain with a stabbing device.
A stabbing tool was utilised in the commission of the crime, and that weapon is still at large, the police said. San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Eamon Allen said the girls, ages 1 and 7, did not see their mother get attacked.
Allen elaborated “As far as the shocking nature of it, I do know that the deputies that first arrived on scene were a little beset by the scene. We are providing peer support, we are also providing support for the witnesses that were on scene, as well, because there were several civilian witnesses.”
The girls, the dog, and the two cats have all been removed from her home by protective services due to local rumor about a history of domestic violence.
