A hit-and-run vehicle struck a food stand in Pomona, California, killing 1 and injuring 12
Police say a driver smashed her car into a taco shop on Friday night in Pomona, leaving one dead and 12 others injured.
As about 7:45 p.m., the crash was reported to the Pomona Police Department on W. Holt Avenue and Dudley Street.
At first, it was thought that 11 persons had been injured in the collision, but that number was later revised upward to 13.
One individual was killed in the collision, according to police reports. Ten further victims’ conditions are now unknown, while two additional victims received care at the scene.
The driver can be seen on video crashing into what appears to be a taco stand, causing extensive damage.
Police say the driver got out of her vehicle and fled the scene, but soon turned herself in.
The officials shut down the area to conduct their investigation into the crash.
