October has arrived, which means the Overwatch Halloween Terror event will be here shortly.
The Halloween Terror event is one of Overwatch’s first season events. It was just Blizzard’s second event in the game, having debuted in October of 2016. Every year since then, the festival has taken place in the second week of October and has lasted until the end of the month.
While Blizzard hasn’t said when the 2021 Halloween Terror event will begin, it’s safe to assume it will happen soon. Because practically every Overwatch event starts on a Tuesday, the Halloween Terror event will most likely begin on October 12. This would put the three-week-long event’s conclusion around Nov. 2.
Halloween Terror is a long-running event with a lot of cosmetics to collect. Players will be able to collect skins, highlight intros, and emotes from prior years’ events throughout the next three weeks.
In total, the event has introduced 20 skins, four highlight intros, five emotes, and 22 victory postures, among other things—and that’s before the devs add anything new this year.
When the official start date for Overwatch’s 2021 Halloween Terror event is announced, this article will be updated.
